MISSION STATEMENT

The Great Commission:

Matthew 28:19-20

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

PURPOSE

     Refuge youth ministries exists to

     REACH students for Christ; help them to

     EXPAND their faith

     FIND their place in ministry

     UNDERSTAND their unique purpose

     GAIN fellowship with other Christians

     EXALT and worship God with all of their lives

THEME

 Psalm 46:1

“God is our Refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”

Refuge Youth meet every Wednesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Students can fellowship, play pool, play video games and purchase items from the snack bar from 6:00 - 6:45.

At 6:45 the students assemble for a game and announcements and at 7:00 break into smaller groups for Bibile study.

Our Junior High Girls program is called Friends Club . They memorize scripture, study the word, make crafts, and a host of other fun things and earn charms for their necklace. This is a three year program with a special promotion at the end to honor their acheivement.

 Our Junior High Boys program is called Adventure Rangers. Their program is similar to the girls, but with more outdoor activities geared to young men. This program helps our young men to learn to honor and respect those in authority, whether it is their parents or their teachers or their leaders.

Our Senior High is going through the Book of Acts.
